The Women’s Recovery Center offers both an employment application and volunteer application that is also used for potential interns. For all potential employees, we require a criminal background check and passage through the SAM and Human Services systems to protect against fraud and malfeasance. All staff members and interns are required to go through our Medicaid Certification. For volunteers that are engaged in direct care such as rocking babies, reading to or tutoring children, or interacting with our clients in some capacity, we require agreement to confidentiality policies and criminal background checks.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

For those positions include direct contact with children and clients, it is required that volunteers have a criminal background check performed and sent to the Women’s Recovery Center at 6209 Storer Avenue, Cleveland OH 44102. The volunteer is responsible for the cost which ranges from $40 to $60. Background checks can be performed in most police stations.
