The Women’s Recovery Center is hosting our Ground Breaking Ceremony on Wednesday, August 31st beginning at 5:00 p.m. located at 6209 Storer Avenue in Cleveland. Following construction, the Center will double our capacity to provide outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment services for women and their families.

Dr. Pepper Snapple (DPS) and national non-profit KaBOOM! awarded the Women’s Recovery Center a $13,200 Let’s Play Improvement Grant to use toward the purchase of an Imagination Playground in a Cart™, an innovative playground equipment system.
The grant, which will allow the Women’s Recovery Center to install the system at the Center located at 6209 Storer Avenue, as part of Let’s Play, a community partnership led by Dr Pepper Snapple to get kids and families active nationwide. Imagination Playground in a Cart™ is an innovative design in play equipment that encourages creativity, communication, and collaboration in play. With a collection of custom-designed, oversized blue foam parts, Imagination PlaygroundTM provides a changing array of elements that allow children to turn their playground into a space constantly built and re-built by their imagination.

The Women’s Recovery Center is hosting the 5th annual Client Graduation Ceremony for clients who have successfully completed the alcohol an other drug treatment curriculum and have demonstrated their commitment to recovery. The Graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, 2014 beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Airport Sheraton, Cleveland.

The Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland is proud to announce the graduation ceremony for clients that have successfully completed the alcohol and other drug treatment curriculum. The graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25th beginning at 4pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Cleveland. The ceremony will be followed by a reception for graduates, family members and community leaders. Margaret Bernstein, columnist with The Plain Dealer, is the Commencement Speaker.

Women, who are in varying stages of recovery from substance abuse, with their children will participate in the event designed to help build strong family traditions while making sweet treats for the holidays.
