Project Good Cheer 2008
Project “Good Cheer” is a program that was created more than five years ago with Loretta Patrick of HealthMor Inc. and students of Cuyahoga Heights High School to ease some of the holiday stress felt by the clients of The Women's Center project is designed to match a child’s holiday wish with a donor. The maximum gift price is $20.00.
For HMI, the employee is matched with a child’s name and the toy that their mother requested for them. The Women’s Center then distributes the toys to the mothers one or two days before Christmas and they, in turn, have a gift to share with their child for the holidays. The project is an essential element in the reunification or mending of the families.
In 2007, Project “Good Cheer” was made possible by the generous contributions of Cuyahoga Heights High School Student Council, HMI Inc., and The MetroHealth System all of whom donated over 200 gifts, each individually wrapped and personalized.
If you would like to sponsor a child or a family for the 2008 holiday season please contact Mary Jane Chichester at 216-651-1450.
Each year the Women’s Center’s staff and clients, develop unique methods to thank the sponsors. The quilts were created by clients and their gratitude to the sponsors. See the quilt results below:

Project Good Cheer 2004
Project “Good Cheer” is a
program that was created 5 years ago to ease some of the holiday stress
felt by the clients of The Women’s Center. The way that project
“Good Cheer” works is that The Women’s Center finds
local organizations to sponsor the clients involved in treatment.
They then match up employees with a child’s
name and the toy that their mother requested for them. The Women’s
Center then distributes the toys to the mothers one or two days before
Christmas and they, in turn, have a gift to share with their child for
the holidays.

This year project “Good Cheer”
was made possible by the generous contributions of Cuyahoga Heights
High School Student Council, HMI Inc., and The MetroHealth System all
of whom donated over 200 gifts, each individually wrapped and personalized.

or a family for the 2005 holiday season please contact Mary Jane Chichester

The Women’s Center clients
and the children were so moved with project “Good Cheer”
and the overwhelming support of Cuyahoga Heights High School, HMI Inc.,
and The MetroHealth System that they created quilts for each organization
to show their appreciation and gratitude. See quilts below:
